Paul suggested that Trump might be walking into a biased setting and that skipping the debate could be a smart move. In response, Trump took to his Truth Social platform, calling Paul “a friend” but disagreeing with the advice. Trump emphasized that he’s ready to take on President Biden on stage.
The back-and-forth comes as Trump prepares for the highly anticipated debate later this month, moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. Some Republican voices have expressed concerns over media fairness, but Trump appears determined to go head-to-head with Biden.
